Directions coming from the E40 / E403 freeway

Take exit 7b of the E40, direction Zedelgem - Loppem (N 397)
Turn right at the roundabout, direction Zedelgem
At the next roundabout, continue straight on, direction Zedelgem
At the T-road, turn right, direction Zedelgem
After 2km turn right at roundabout, direction Bruges.
After the bridge over the highway, immediately turn left, direction Varsenare
Cross the Diksmuidse Heerweg, after 500m turn left, follow signpost 'Cozmix'

Directions from Bruges center

Drive through the Smedenpoort until you pass under the railroad tracks.
On the Canadasquare take the Gistelsesteenweg
Follow the main road until the built-up area of Varsenare
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit
Take the first left, immediately after the roundabout
Follow the Zeeweg for 1.5 km
Do NOT follow the arrows parking Beisbroek
Follow the signposts to the observatory or 'Cozmix', turn right into the small lane

Parking

At the back of the castle there are a limited number of parking spaces available. Additional and larger parking facilities are available on the larger perimeter car parks (Doornstraat or Diksmuidse Heirweg).

For buses there is a turning point at the end of the access road to drop passengers off and pick them up again; during the visit itself buses should park in a peripheral car park (Doornstraat or Diksmuidse Heirweg).

By public transport

If you come by public transport, take bus 55 towards Leke, bus 53 towards Jabbeke or bus 52 towards Oostende at the station of Bruges. Get off at the stop "Varsenare Velddreef" and walk another 1km along the Beisbroekdreef to the domain Beisbroek. This takes about 20 minutes. Consult delijn.be for more information.

Planetariumbus

If you would like to travel by train in a group but are not comfortable with the change and the walking distance, you can use our 'Planetarium Bus Service' for transportation to and from Bruges train station to the door of the observatory.

Advance booking is required via 050 39 05 66 or info@cozmix.be.

Price: €170 round trip for a bus up to 80 people. This is only valid on school days between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
This price is also valid for group travel from Bruges territory.

By bicycle

The bicycle route network automatically brings you to the Cozmix visitor center. You can find us between node 90 and 61. You can put together the entire route using the cycling network maps of the Brugse Ommeland or on the website fietsnet.be. From Loppem, Zedelgem, Bruges, Snellegem and Varsenare, the cycling route network also indicates the shortest route to the visitor center.

By bus

Groups can also organize their own bus transport. For buses there is a turning point at the end of the access road to drop passengers off and pick them up again; during the duration of the visit itself buses should park in a peripheral parking lot (Doornstraat or Diksmuidse Heirweg).
